It’s a passion that sparked when Warren Fritz was in high school.

“Machining in general — any type — fascinated me,” he explains. “I liked taking something that wasn’t working and making it work again.”

In his automotive class, Warren would repair cylinder heads and rebuild engines, but his interest shifted to grinding in particular when he displayed a natural ability to work with a valve grinding machine.

“Nobody knew how to run it and I figured it out,” Warren recalls, “I’ve been fascinated by grinding ever since.”

Following high school, Warren honed his ability and gained experience by working at a centerless grinding company for 10 years before stepping out on his own and starting Perfection Centerless Grinding in 1996.

In the years since, Perfection Centerless has grown a loyal client base that includes large aerospace and automotive contracts, as well as small-shop jobs.
